The suction is of no comparison to your better quality vacuums and it is also very loud. On a positive note and for its price (certainly not worth its RRP) it comes in handy for your smaller type jobs so it makes a good 2nd vacuum. Note the cord is also a tad short so an extension cord will come in handy.”

I could snell this electrical burning and then the machine started making a funny noise. I quickly turned it off at the wall and unplugged it. When I investigated at the back of the machine where the filter was it was all burnt.”

Love it! I read all reviews mostly good, but in answer to the few, the cord is not that short, certainly went further than one room. Not much effort to unplug it a couple of times to get the job done or how about getting an extension lead, easy! :) Sounds like a couple blew up, maybe so, but then what do you expect for something that cost 1/10th of a Dyson. Are you sure you didn't forget to empty it or change the fiter which you're meant to clean? Or maybe ripped the lead out of the back of the unit? Whatever, I love mine, much lighter than the elephant I had before, nor do I work up the sweat that went with it. If it only lasts 6 months, which I'm sure it won't if treated and cleaned properly, I'll still be happy! Thanks DD :)”

They do not refund or do returns after 30 days, so now i am stuck with a new looking vaccum cleaner not working. Do not buy.... better to go where you can get a refund or 12mth warranty.”

Considering its limited use and for short periods of time this is a very very very low quality product especially for $99 dollars!!!!! Keep AWAY! Also beware the only warranty this has is a very short 30 day warranty. Other online retailers will offer a 12 month warranty for a similar product.”

But for a quick tidy up on carpet, or simply to do your hard floors, car, sundry bits and pieces, you will find this machine hard to beat. In fact I am so impressed with the machine I'm buying a second one for my ex-wife of all people!! One minor dislike, hose is a bit on the flimsy side, which lets down the rest of the machine's overall quality, but is a minor (replaceable) issue. As for spare filters everyone, go to a place such as Godfrey's (or any vacuum specialist) and you'll probably find a similar generic filter as these are becoming quite the norm on machines nowadays; but not on machines that are quite as good value as this one! Well done again, DealsDirect! :-D”

For a 2000W vac that is unforgivable. I am now back using my old 1400W vac which cost less and has lasted years. I am gutted and would NOT recommend this to anyone.”

Despite doing this every time suction slowly deteriorated to pretty poor. Motor began overheating also and cutting out. Bought new set of hepa filters recently and gave it a thorough cleanup but no improvement. Gave up and went and bought a Nilfisk which was four times the price but a supurb vacuum cleaner. Cleaning time now halved.”

Every time i vacuum, I have to untangle the hair from the filter halfway through. Also wouldn't recommend it for pet hair. I have two cats and this vac does not pick cat hair off the floor very well. Not bad for the price, I guess.. but still disappointing.”

Ashley from Townsville, QLD says, “Jennifer from maryborough, vic: RE: cleaning the filter with water first of all, i love this vac. it does a great job when all the filters are cleaned so it can use all of its power. to clean the filter inside the dust container (you can unscrew the canister and take the filter out).. get the filter and give it a good clean by using an old tooth brush to remove all the dust and even give it a few light whacks on the ground to losen it. doing this i've found no need to use water to wash it. the little black filter inside ive found has no troubles being washed under water, as long as you make sure its dry b4 you put it back in. so if you find that its losing power, try those cleaning tricks. it will be like new again!”

The chord could be 2 metres longer - it just doesnt reach enough. Also where the plastic hose end fits the metal tube there needs to be a more graded taper and length - it falls out quite often when in use. All in all good value for money but don't expect a high quality vacuum cleaner. Re the product rating - we gave it a 4. the machine itself is probably a 3, whereas the sucking power is probably a 5!”

Anyway YES the hose is flimsy, and YES it is replaceable...The hose is wht lets this Vacuum down! Otherwise its has gr8 suction... To clean the filters, i do mine in a bucket, with 'cleaning vinegar! Be warned a lot of muck comes out, so you will need to change the water in the bucket a 'few times...After 'most of the dirt has come out, make sure to soak in 'plain water, and rinse thoroughly...The leave in a sunny place to dry..It takes most of the day to dry btw, so mine ends up 'under the heater.. There is now 'replacement hepa filters, so i bought five' when shipping was 'free ;)I usually clean the hepa filter after 4-5 uses...”
