Lovely rug. Fortunately previous buyers wrote in their reviews that it is much darker than the photo suggests, so I was expecting that. It really is much darker than in the photo. The colours are not pastels, the lightest colour is a dark beige/light brown and the colours get darker from there with the brown being quite dark.

Colours appear different on photo, so not entirely happy with purchase as item doesnt match decor of house and will show up dog hair very quickly. Very soft and looks like it will be easy to clean if you dont have pets.
