ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Ian Heads is a former swimming and Olympics writer for The Daily Telegraphand Sunday Telegraph.He has authored and co-authored over 30 books on sport, including biographies of George Piggins, president of South Sydney Leagues Club, and Louise Sauvage, Australia's leading paralympian.
Kevin Berry, OAM, friend and protégé of Don Talbot, won gold in the 200 metres butterfly at the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games and three gold medals in the 1962 Commonwealth Games, as well as breaking 12 individual world records between 1960 and 1968.
