“I'd say you're probably getting what you pay for here, it's not as robust as the models you see in the sports store for 2-3 times the price....and I wouldn't push it if you were much more than say, 70kg in weight. The hollow frame wouldn't stand up to the pressure. The item I received has a problem on the right side, I think the crank-axle bolt is too short & keeps coming loose. Unfortunately, it is a specialty hardware item (small thread pitch), so it's not available in general hardware stores. But apart from that, the item works well enough if not used for long periods.”

“Good delivery. OK to construct. Worked fine for about a month and then the incredibly annoying squeaking began from the rear wheel. It is like nails on a chalkboard, so loud you can't use it with someone else in the room (watching TV for example). Weirdly it doesn't squeak as much if you go in reverse. Also the onboard computer started beeping at all hours, had to take batteries out as there were no programming instructions included. Would not buy if I had my time over.”

“Great product, easy to assemble and works really well. Fast delivery also, total of 4 days to Perth after date of order. A little dissapointed DD were unable to deliver north of WA though.”

“Hard to put together. I would have preferred it if there had been an option to have it delivered pre-assembled, but despite that, I still wouldn't disrecommend this. It rocks a tiny bit, but should be ok. Sturdy enough. But it was very hard to put the right handlebar support and right pedal support on. They didn't line up, I had to loosen a few bolts etc to try to force it on, got it eventually. Also, there were 14 small spring washers left over, which were probably meant to be added somewhere, but were left out of the instruction book; and 2 black flat washers, which I worked out went down the bottom connecting the pedal support (again, left out of the instruction book). Some pictures in the instruction book didn't quite match, but you could work it out.”

“This cross trainer is really good! My hubby and I are so happy with it. It's much better value than any we saw in the stores. The equivalent was between 500 and $900 so we think this is an excellent deal. Its solid and quiet and doesn't need electricity so excellent for the environment and when the kids/night shifters are asleep! It takes a few hours to put together but is definitely worth it!”

“Quick delivery, arrived within 4 working days. Took about 1 hour to set up. Overall it works really well. Only problem is that sometimes the computer on it plays up and stops working. Currently I am 8 months pregnant and have still managed to lose 2 kilo's on it while not overdoing it. I'm glad that hubby talked me in to spending just a little bit more and got the better machine.”

“Fast Delivery, pretty simple to put together (I managed it alone, and was able to take the box up a spiral staircase) Did have a few screws left over but they are probably just spares (here's hoping! haha) Very sturdy machine.”

“This is excellent!! Im so glad I bought this one over the others. Its SO quiet you dont hear a thing. Took my husband and I about an hour to put together.. some of the bolts and screws were a bit of a squeeze but still fairly easy to asemble. Such a great workout! Love it!”

“Before I purchased this last week, I looked at some popular health and fitness stores to compare similar items, and frankly, you get so much for your buck with this machine that it's scary to think just how much extra you may be influenced to pay elsewhere! Yes, perhaps you're not buying "better quality" for less but you're definitely getting a hell of a lot more features than a similarly priced item.. Although a little quirky in parts, it's very easy to assemble too.. And really, if it lasts me more than a year, it doesn't owe me anything at this price..”

“Continued: Credit where it is due though, Deals Direct understates weight limits provided by the manufacturer, which given their habit of over stating is a very good thing that will no doubt save some people wasting their money on something not suitable for them. For those that are wondering the stride length is 13 inches, a major detail not provided on this page. Also in reference to the problem a couple have had with the right crankshaft thread, had deals direct assembled one themselves they would likely know it has been exposed to moisture & some minor corrosion is present in the internal thread, something I suspect the manufacturer knows as the bolt provided is longer than spec, there is one bolt correct length & one longer, make sure you use the longer one on the right hand side, & if possible spray some wd40 or similar in the internal thread first, I imagine that if you use the shorter bolt it could very well strip as it seems has happened to 2 people above on this page.”
