Once it is configured with your height, gender and age, to use it you have to select which person you are (P0 to P9) with the up / down arrows, then wait until it shows your height and age, then shows 0.0kg. Then and only then stand on it with bare feet. It's not backlit so you need room lighting on. It is really accurate and repeatable, just as good as those for $100.”

Instructions are not very clear (manual was written by someone with English not as their first language I'd say) but you can eventually figure it out. Weight seems accurate and overall it was certainly worth the low price - but don't expect to be getting a $150 quality scale because you aren't.”
