Yellowglen Winery, Established in 1971, has produced a premium vintage range of sparkling wines that dates back to 2000. Yellowglen Vintage Pinot Noir Chardonnay, (affectionately known as 'PNC') is one of the winery's original vintage sparkling wines. Sourced from regions acknowledged for growing the finest quality grapes. The 2008 Vintage PNC blend is approximately 55% Pinot and 45% Chardonnay.

Yellowglen Chief Winemaker, Charles Hargrave says, "It is one of my favourite wines to make. When it comes to blending all of the individual parcels, it's a fine balancing act to get the elegance and finesse we're looking for."

Grape Variety - Pinot Noir, Chardonnay

Maturation - This wine is bottle fermented and spends 12 months on lees to add texture, depth of flavour and complexity.

Vintage Conditions - The 2008 vintage experienced a warm, prolonged summer, allowing grapes to develop luscious fruit flavours and desirable levels of natural sugar.

Tasting Notes:

• Colour - Yellowglen Vintage Pinot Noir Chardonnay is vibrant pale yellow in the glass.
  
• Nose - Lively aromas of cashew nuts and rich bread dough are evident on the nose with hints of strawberry Pinot Noir character.
  
• Palate - A fine but persistent bead complements these rich flavours. Yellowglen Vintage Pinot Noir Chardonnay is full flavoured, complex and well structured yet elegant and creamy in the mouth. It has a crisp and dry finish of excellent length.
