Winemakers Comments

Colour - A deep dark cherry core with a crimson hue.

Nose - The nose shows fresh, varietal, leafy characters, aromas of plums and berries with subtle and integrated oak flavours.

Palate - This is a medium to full bodied wine that offers a sweet, middle palate, finishing with fine, smooth, chalky Cabernet tannins.

Vintage Conditions - Vintage started slightly earlier than average and proceeded exceptionally well with mild and dry ripening conditions and cool nights. Healthy vines and below average crops meant that the grapes ripened very quickly and evenly, with strong varietal definition and character.

Maturation - Parcels of this wine were matured for six months with French and American oak to add complexity to the wine's fresh fruit focus.
