Tyrrell's Lost Block Chardonnay 2010

The Lost Block range was named following the 1993 vintage when it was mistakenly allowed to ripen for a longer period than usual. You could say we literally lost the plot! Over the years, a number of wines have joined the Lost Block label, all deliberately crafted in the same soft and approachable style that has made Lost Block Semillon such a success. Lost Block wines are deliberately made to be fruit-laden, fresh, vibrant and easy to drink.

Winemaker's Notes - The grapes for this wine were sourced from some of the top chardonnay vineyards in the Hunter Valley. The juice was cold settled then fermented and matured in stainless steel. The wine underwent extended lees contact to build extra body and palate texture into the wine. Alc 13%.

Tasting Notes - Pale gold in colour with an attractive green tinge. A medium bodied wine with lifted tropical and stone fruit aromas. The palate is generously flavoured with white peach, citrus characters and has a zesty, clean, crisp finish.

Serving Suggestions - Serve slightly chilled. An ideal accompaniment to a wide variety of cuisines such as seafood, vegetarian, chicken and creamy sauce pasta dishes.
