Tyrrell's Lost Block Cabernet Sauvignon 2008

The Lost Block range was named following the 1993 vintage when it was mistakenly allowed to ripen for a longer period than usual. You could say we literally lost the plot! Over the years, a number of wines have joined the Lost Block label, all deliberately crafted in the same soft and approachable style that has made Lost Block Semillon such a success. Lost Block wines are deliberately made to be fruit-laden, fresh, vibrant and easy to drink.

Winemaker's Notes - Sourced from select parcels of fruit from the great southern district of Western Australia. This wine was matured in two to three year old French barriques before being bottled in October 2008. Alc 14%.

Tasting Notes - Lifted nose of dark berry / cassis fruit, with some clove spice. The palate shows fresh fruit driven flavours, which are balanced by persistent velvety tannins.

Serving Suggestions - Perfect as a pre-dinner drink or as an accompaniment to pasta, pizza and red meat dishes.
