Tasting Notes

Sparkling White
A fresh, youthful wine, influenced by the dry sparkling moscato styles of Italy. It retains the vibrancy and fruit of the grape varieties from which it is made. Pale lemon in colour, the wine has an intensely aromatic bouquet and on the palate shows rich fruit character, soft creaminess and a delicate bead. This is a celebratory style of sparkling wine, well suited to appetisers, mild cheeses
and fresh fruit.

Sparkling Red
This NV sparkling red is made in the traditional bold Australian style - big, ripe, rich and hearty. The wine is deep plum red with purple tints, and on the bouquet shows ripe berry fruits, black pepper & allspice. On the palate the wine is voluminous in flavour with complex fruit character and generous mousse. The wine is well suited to richly sauced dishes, as a pre-dinner drink or just in celebration

Sauvignon Blanc
Sourced from premium vineyards in South Australia, this Sauvignon Blanc has luscious lemon and grapefruit aromas and displays crisp refreshing tropical fruit and gooseberry characteristics on the palate. These are complemented by natural grape acid to give a zesty finish strong flavour burst. Serve chilled. It is well paired with light pasta dishes, warm chicken salad or fresh seafood.

Chardonnay
The Kelly’s Promise Chardonnay is a soft, well balanced wine with generous ripe fruit character enhanced by subtle oak while still retaining the natural varietal character of the Chardonnay grape. The grapes were selected from a range of vineyards and the resulting wines blended to produce a consistency of style. The wine is pale gold in colour with a lifted aroma of ripe peaches. On the palate the wine is crisp and stylish with rich fruit character and just a hint of oak to enhance but not dominate the wine. Serve with seafood and Asian dishes.

Shiraz
Sourced from premium vineyards in the Yarra Valley, this full bodied Shiraz with rich plum flavours is complemented by superbly integrated oak characters. Shiraz is a rich Australian red with generous ripe fruit enhanced by subtle oak and retaining the natural spicy varietal character of the Shiraz grape. The wine is deep red in colour with a sweet, red currant bouquet. On the palate the wine shows rich mulberry fruit character supported by soft oak tannins. Serve with richly sauced beef dishes. Kelly's Promise wines are named in honour of Australian winemaking pioneer and legend Dr Alexander Kelly.
