Fiddlers Creek Chardonnay 2008

Chardonnay is generally recognized as the worlds widest planted white wine grape variety because it grows so well and produces great wine in many viticulture districts. The Pyrenees of Western Victoria is one such district where the cool nights and warm days help the vine thrive and produce a uniquely subtle flavoured wine. The 2007 / 2008 growing season was ideal for this varietiy with good rains spread throughout a cool spring and summer, allowing healthy vine canopy growth, important for development of flavour and shade in the warm autumn.

Bouquet:

Classic aroma's of citrus, white peach and a hink of oak.

Palate:

The palate displays the early picked elegant style best with citrus fruits up front, a creamy rich mid palate from yeast lees stirring, a touch of cedary oak and a long crisp minerally acid finish.
