Fiddlers Creek Cabernet Sauvignon:

The noble grape Cabernet Sauvignon is perceived by many as the classic red grape variety because it is rich in attractive berry fruit characters plus full bodied in most situations. Indeed the Pyrenees region of Western Victoria does produce full bodied Cabernet Sauvignon, especially so in growing seasons like those of 2005/2006.

Vintage:

Good winter rains were followed by a cool spring and summer then a warm autumn which perfectly finished later ripening reds like Cabernet Sauvignon.

Vibrant ruby red.

Bouquet:

Displays aromas of ripe red berries, regional mint and subtle cedar oak.

Palate:

The palate shows the fleshy fruit yet firm structure of great Cabernet Sauvignon and the touches of mint and eucalypt evident are indicative of
the Pyrenees. Two years maturing in French oak barrels has softened the plentiful tannins making this wine very approachable in it's youth but robust enough to cellar mid term.
