The Chain of Fire is a chain of ancient, weathered, extinct volcanoes running from Queensland through Mudgee in the Central Ranges of New South Wales down to Victoria. Formed over thirty million years ago, its rich volcanic soils create ideal conditions for the growth of high quality grapes. Vulcan, the Greek God of Volcanoes is often depicted as a Blacksmith.

Tasting Notes - Chain of Fire Merlot tastes ripe and fruitful, with soft tannins and a pleasing finish.

Winemaking Notes - Harvested at optimum ripeness and fermented at moderate temperature. A small portion was matured in old French oak for 18 months prior to blending and bottling.
