This premium Sauvignon Blanc is a single-vineyard wine sourced from our own premium vineyard at “Cravens Road” in Marlborough’s famous Wairau Valley was picked at Castaway Bay 2009 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc a range of ripeness levels for optimum flavour and complexity.
We separated the main block into a number of zones and varied the amount of leaf plucking in each. This directly affects the fruit’s flavour and composition, with more exposure to the Marlborough sun leading to riper, more tropical flavours.
Vinification
Cool fermentation and a combination of traditional and innovative techniques has helped to retain all of the fruits freshness and vibrancy.
Tasting Notes
Herbal notes of capsicum and ripe gooseberry are balanced on the palate with tropical nuances of melon, rich concentration and a crisp finish.
